Touchscreen not working, even after sending it for "repair"

I'm extremely disappointed. This laptop was advertised as having a touchscreen, and I verified the model number should include one. But when it arrived, the touchscreen didn't work. I tried everything — cleaning the screen, hard reset, you name it — and the touchscreen didn't even show up in the diagnostics. I went through a frustrating series of phone calls with ASUS, then paid $40 to ship it to them for repair. It came back today, and guess what? Still no touchscreen. Hard reset again, still not showing in diagnostics. We're giving up and just living with it because we need the computer, but it's incredibly frustrating.
