ASUS XG27UCDMG vs PG27UCDM — which should I buy?

The PG27UCDM is the more premium model, adding DisplayPort 2.1 and Dolby Vision with a somewhat different design, while the XG27UCDMG delivers the same core image quality for less. Reviewers concluded the XG27UCDMG offers considerably better value among 4K 240Hz QD-OLED monitors unless you specifically need DP 2.1 or Dolby Vision. Comparing both on Shopfox side by side makes the feature-versus-price gap easy to weigh.

How does the ASUS XG27UCDMG protect against OLED burn-in?

The XG27UCDMG includes a presence sensor that can help prevent burn-in by detecting when you have stepped away, alongside ASUS's broader OLED care features. It also has a motion blur reduction feature that displays 120Hz images with the sharpness of 240Hz. Burn-in coverage terms vary, so confirm the warranty details on the listing before buying.

What ports does the ASUS XG27UCDMG have?

The XG27UCDMG offers DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode and 90W Power Delivery, three downstream USB-A 3.0 ports, USB-B and a headphone jack. The USB-C port also supports a KVM function, letting you drive two machines from one keyboard and mouse. The 90W of power delivery is enough to charge many laptops over the same single cable carrying video.

Pricy but worth it

I paid a premium when these were $1k, but now the price is much more reasonable. Still, it's a fantastic monitor.

I paid too much when it was $1000, but now the price is more reasonable. Still a great monitor though.
