Name: Autel Robotics Evo Quadcopters & Multirotors
Brand: Autel Robotics

Question 1

What warranty comes with an Autel Evo drone?

Accepted Answer

Autel Robotics typically offers a limited one-year warranty on the Evo aircraft covering manufacturing defects, though crash and flyaway damage is generally not included. Some retailers add care or accident plans separately. Keep your proof of purchase, and compare seller return windows on shopfox since policies vary between authorized dealers and marketplaces.

Question 2

Is it better to buy a new or refurbished Autel Evo?

Accepted Answer

A new Autel Robotics Evo gives you full warranty and untouched batteries, while a refurbished or used unit can cut the price noticeably. Because drones take crash wear on motors, gimbals and props, buying refurbished is safest from a seller offering a warranty. On shopfox you can see New versus Refurbished offers side by side and pick what fits your budget.

Question 3

Do I need to register my Autel Evo with the FAA?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in the US any Autel Robotics Evo weighing over 250 grams must be registered with the FAA, and most Evo models exceed that limit. Registration is inexpensive and required for recreational and commercial flying, plus newer Evo drones support Remote ID. Only the sub-250g mini-class drones skip registration, which the standard Evo is not.
