iPad 4 vs iPad Air, what changed?

The iPad Air, released a year later, is much thinner and lighter than the iPad 4 and uses the faster A7 chip with 64-bit support and longer software life. The iPad 4 is heavier and stuck on older iOS. For everyday use the Air is far better. Compare both, plus current iPads, on shopfox to see what fits your budget.

Is a used iPad 4 worth buying?

Only if you need a very cheap, basic tablet for reading, simple video, or a child's use. The iPad 4 is over a decade old and won't run modern apps, so its value is limited. Battery health also varies on used units. For a smarter buy, compare Refurbished newer iPads on shopfox where you can check condition and price.

Does the iPad 4 have a Lightning connector?

Yes, the iPad 4 was the first full-size iPad to use Apple's Lightning connector, replacing the old 30-pin dock. It also added the A6X chip and a Retina display. That means standard Lightning cables work with it. If you're shopping used, compare iPad 4 and newer Refurbished iPad prices on shopfox to weigh the value.

Missing parts and terrible customer service

Seriously, avoid this seller. I picked up a refurbished iPad bundle, but it arrived with half the items missing. It's been three weeks now, and I'm still stuck waiting for the rest of my order. Save yourself the headache and your cash—look elsewhere.

Terrible

This iPad is almost unusable. The screen responsiveness is terrible; I have to press down really hard and tap multiple times just to get an app to open.
