How long will the iPad Pro M2 get updates?

Comfortably through the late 2020s — Apple's support runway for M2 hardware remains long, since the chip is only a few years old. That update cushion plus the M2's headroom is exactly why the 2022 iPad Pro ages so gracefully as a used buy.

Is the iPad Pro M2 good for drawing?

Excellent — 120Hz ProMotion plus M2 responsiveness keeps Pencil latency imperceptible, and it powers Procreate with enormous headroom. Design students asking the same question on Reddit get steered to the M2 precisely because drawing doesn't tax the newer chip. It's arguably the value sweet spot for artists.

Does the iPad Pro 6 support Apple Pencil Pro?

No — Pencil Pro is exclusive to the M4 generation. The iPad Pro 6 works with Apple Pencil 2nd generation, which still delivers low latency, wireless charging on the tablet's edge, and hover preview — the drawing experience most artists actually use.
