Is the ROG Ally X worth it over a Steam Deck?

For Windows-wide gaming, yes: the Ally X runs full Windows stores (Game Pass, Epic, launchers) with more horsepower than the Steam Deck OLED and its massive battery closes the endurance gap. The Deck counters with superior console polish and Linux efficiency. Compare both handhelds' current pricing on Shopfox.

ROG Ally X or original Ally - which should I buy?

The Ally X upgrades meaningfully: an 80Wh battery roughly doubling endurance, 24GB of RAM for demanding titles, updated controls and better thermals — worth the premium over the discounted original for anyone serious about Windows handheld gaming. Casual users save on the base Ally. Compare both on Shopfox.

How much does the ROG Ally X cost in the US?

The ROG Ally X launched at $799 in the US; current Shopfox listings run $750-$1,299 depending on seller and condition, with retail dips below launch during sales. The handheld market moves fast — price history matters before buying. Compare live ROG Ally X offers across sellers on Shopfox.
