Is the Brother MFC-J1010DW good for occasional home use?

The MFC-J1010DW is aimed at light home and small-office printing with a compact footprint, so it's well suited to occasional documents and the odd color page. Inkjets can dry out if left unused for long periods, so regular light printing helps. Compare New and Refurbished Brother MFC-J1010DW prices on Shopfox.

Does the Brother MFC-J1010DW scan and copy too?

Yes, the MFC-J1010DW is a multifunction (MFC) device that prints, scans, and copies, making it a compact home-office all-in-one. It typically uses a flatbed scanner rather than an automatic document feeder. Check the specific feature list on the Shopfox product page to confirm.

Why won't my Brother MFC-J1010DW print even with ink installed?

A common cause on the MFC-J1010DW is a clogged print head or an improperly seated cartridge, so running the built-in head-cleaning cycle and reseating cartridges often helps. Make sure protective tape was removed from new cartridges and that they're genuine or compatible. Persistent issues may need a firmware update.

Nice Printer for the cost

Great print quality and easy to use. The only downside is that it chews through ink way too fast.
