Canon 4000D vs 2000D — is the newer one worth more used?

Yes, modestly — the 2000D's 24MP sensor and better build command small premiums over the 4000D's 18MP basics at overlapping used prices, making it the smarter buy when gaps stay tight. The 4000D wins only at clear discounts. Both bodies' pricing shows on Shopfox.

Canon 4000D kit vs body-only — what is the lens worth?

About 50-80 dollars — the 18-55 III kit lens adds real capability for a first-time buyer over body-only 4000Ds, priced well under the lens's standalone cost in bundles; body-only suits upgraders with existing glass. Compare both 4000D configurations on Shopfox.

How much should you pay for a Canon 4000D?

Little — the 4000D was Canon's bare-bottom DSLR, and Shopfox's 121-to-574 band rewards the floor for body-only working units, with kit-lens bundles justifying modest steps up; the ceiling reflects bundle or new-condition outliers. Check the 4000D's price history on Shopfox before paying beyond the floor.

The photo quality is disappointing for the price, appearing blurry and pixelated. To make matters worse, the external flash doesn't work. I've reached out to the seller twice with no response. I'll likely return it if I don't hear back soon.

Christmas letdown…

Bought this camera as a Christmas gift for our daughter. She was super excited and tore into it right away — only to find there was no SD card included. Turns out you can't even use the camera without one.
