Where can I get the best price on the Canon SX740 HS?

Prices on the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS vary between retailers and sale periods, and refurbished units can save more. Compare offers across multiple sellers on Shopfox and check the price history so you know if a deal is truly a low. You can also compare New vs Refurbished listings to find the best value.

Is the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS good in low light?

The Canon SX740 HS is decent in good light but only average in low light, since it uses a small 1/2.3-inch sensor common to superzoom compacts. Image noise rises at higher ISO settings indoors or at night. For bright outdoor and daytime travel photography it performs well; for dim scenes a larger-sensor camera is better.

Does the Canon SX740 HS shoot 4K video?

Yes, the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS records 4K UHD video at 30fps, along with 1080p at higher frame rates for smoother footage. It also offers a 4K time-lapse mode. Note that 4K recording applies a crop and disables optical zoom during capture on this model, so plan your framing before you start filming.

Overall good value, especially when bundled with accessories. Many users found the price reasonable for the features offered, though some complained about misleading listings, grey market units without US warranty, and the high cost of repairs. The wide price range ($85-$800) reflects varying conditions and bundles.

Not what you are expecting.

Picture on item is misleading to what you receive. Does not come with tripod or other photoshop applications. Box came used and believed to have been a used item. I'm sure it is a problem with the seller as there are many other options to choose from that have same price range with more things included. Misrepresentation of what the product is per other reviewer as well.

Grey market camera.

The box states “for use in Japan only” which means no customer support or warranty service here in the United States. No firmware updates etcetera. The seller is based out of NY selling grey market items.
