Out of the box, this laptop needs some driver and BIOS tweaks to fix GPU issues and blue screens. Once updated, it runs flawlessly with excellent gaming performance and efficient cooling. The build quality is solid, and the customizable lighting is a nice touch.

I was really excited about this Alienware laptop—everyone raves about their gaming rigs. At first, it worked great, but then I kept getting the Windows 10 blue screen related to the graphics card. Dell tech support tried a few things, and it seemed fixed, but the next day the same errors returned. They had me send it in, wiped the drive, reinstalled the OS, and sent it back. Three days later, same problem. They promised to send a USB stick and walk me through another reinstall, but never called. I got the runaround and was told the department was only available on weekdays. By then, half my semester was gone—I needed it for 3D modeling. Amazon took it back even though it was past the return window, which was awesome. I immediately bought an ASUS ROG and couldn't be happier. Dell's support was a nightmare; I'll never buy another Alienware again.
