Compare prices for Dell Dell XPS 17 9700 Computers

I like to leave my PC on 24/7, but this laptop reboots and runs a hardware scan way too often (dozens of times in the past year). The screen stays on the results page all night. I've thought about wiping it and reinstalling Windows. On the plus side, it runs Steam VR without issues, though it gets loud and hot. The BIOS is actually quite nice with lots of features. Overall, I'm happy but concerned about reliability.

The Intel i9 and RTX 2060 deliver great performance for productivity and light gaming, but the cooling system struggles to keep temps in check—I had to disable Turbo Boost to avoid throttling. The 4K screen is gorgeous for content creation, but it kills gaming performance on the RTX 2060, and battery life is disappointing. For over $3K, you'd expect a better webcam and a more effective cooling solution. Overall, it's a mixed bag: premium feel, but flawed execution.
