I was about to upgrade my massive gaming rig—24 inches tall, 26 deep, and 8 wide—with an 800-watt power supply and five fans running full blast. Then I picked up the Lenovo P330 as a temporary work machine, and it ended up replacing my old beast entirely. This tiny thing is barely 7.5 by 7 by 1.5 inches, runs almost dead silent most of the time (the fan only kicks in briefly during intense graphics), and draws under 165 watts. It has handled everything I've thrown at it, including a popular flight simulator and heavy photo editing software, all without breaking a sweat.

I really wanted to like this little computer. It checks almost all the boxes for what I need, but I use it mostly for CAD work and it just can't keep up. My work keeps freezing, and panning and zooming are choppy. I ordered a P1000 GPU to replace the P620 that came with it, hoping that would help. If not, I'll be looking for a new machine. Update 6-18-21: This machine is just painfully slow! It constantly lags. I can barely perform any function without it freezing for 20 seconds. My 10-year-old Windows 7 machine performs much better, so I'll be using that from now on.
