Does the MLILY VI mattress need a box spring?

No — foam mattresses like the MLILY VI need flat, breathable support: a platform bed, slats under four inches apart, or a bunkie board. Traditional box springs with wide gaps sag foam prematurely. Frame it right, then compare MLILY listings with price history on Shopfox.

How firm is the MLILY VI 8-inch?

Medium-firm is typical for budget 8-inch memory foam — a supportive feel side sleepers may find snug at the shoulder, back and stomach sleepers generally like. Foam breaks in softer over the first weeks. Check the seller's return terms on Shopfox mattress listings, since comfort is personal.

Is an 8-inch mattress thick enough?

For lighter sleepers and occasional use, adequately; for most adults nightly, thin — 8-inch builds suit bunkie-compatible frames and budget guest setups, while 10-12 inch profiles deliver the comfort layers most adults notice. Kids barely feel the difference. Compare 8- versus 10-inch MLILY options on Shopfox.
