Where can I buy the OM SYSTEM OM-1 at the best price?

The OM SYSTEM OM-1 is a premium camera, and prices vary with kit configurations and sales. On Shopfox you can compare OM-1 offers across retailers and review the price history to identify a real discount. Considering body-only versus lens-kit bundles, and checking refurbished options, can also help you get the best overall value.

Is Micro Four Thirds image quality good enough on the OM-1?

Yes, for most uses the OM SYSTEM OM-1's stacked 20MP sensor delivers excellent detail, pleasing color, and improved low-light performance over older Micro Four Thirds cameras. While large full-frame sensors still lead in extreme low light and shallow depth of field, the OM-1's computational features and stabilization help close the gap. Its portability and reach often outweigh the sensor-size tradeoff.

How fast is the OM SYSTEM OM-1 burst shooting?

The OM SYSTEM OM-1 offers very fast continuous shooting, reaching high frame rates with its electronic shutter and blackout-free viewfinder, plus advanced computational features like Pro Capture. This speed helps freeze fleeting action in wildlife and sports. Combined with intelligent autofocus tracking, the OM-1's burst performance is a key reason it appeals to photographers chasing fast-moving subjects.

A worthy successor to the E-M5 and a very good entry-level professional camera/lens combination

A solid upgrade from the E-M5, perfect for serious hobbyists. The controls are intuitive and the camera offers pro-level features. However, the WiFi only works with phones/tablets, not laptops, which is annoying. And Olympus accessories are overpriced—the grip plus power adapter costs $300! Still, I love it overall.

Great camera / lens. Great ordering experience despite hiccup along the way

Ordered this from D-Solution and was initially nervous about buying from South Korea, but the reviews were solid. The processing and delivery were incredibly smooth—I got the camera two days later, which is on par with Prime shipping but from halfway around the world. However, when I opened the box, I found the silver model instead of the black one I ordered. I was worried about dealing with a company overseas, but D-Solution was super responsive and apologetic. They offered to swap it or give a discount if I kept the silver. I ended up keeping it because the silver grew on me, and they even threw in a microfiber cloth and a bonus memory card. Overall, their customer service was amazing, making it painless like Amazon. The camera and lens are fantastic—responsive, configurable, with a learning curve but full control. The lens produces beautiful images, and the constant f/2.8 is great. The 2x crop factor gives a 24-80mm equivalent.
