OM-1 Mark II vs OM-5, which is better?

The OM-1 Mark II is the far more capable camera, with a stacked sensor, superior autofocus, faster bursts, and better weather sealing, aimed at serious wildlife work. The OM-5 is smaller, lighter, and cheaper, better for travel and hiking. Choose the OM-1 Mark II for performance, the OM-5 for portability and budget.

Should I buy a used OM System OM-1 Mark II?

A used OM-1 Mark II can offer solid savings for wildlife shooters, especially since it holds value reasonably well. Check the shutter count, sensor condition, and that weather seals are intact before buying. Compare New vs Refurbished offers on Shopfox to see whether a used OM-1 Mark II beats a new-unit discount.

How fast can the OM-1 Mark II shoot?

The OM-1 Mark II can shoot blackout-free bursts up to 50fps with continuous autofocus, and up to 120fps with focus locked. Its Pro Capture mode buffers frames before you fully press the shutter, so you rarely miss fast action. This speed makes the OM-1 Mark II excellent for birds and wildlife.
