What lenses can I use with the Panasonic LUMIX G85?

The G85 uses the Micro Four Thirds mount, which gives access to one of the largest and most affordable native mirrorless lens ecosystems, including both Panasonic and Olympus/OM System optics plus many third-party options. Lens variety is a big part of the value case for the system. Kit listings often bundle the 12-60mm, so check what glass is included before buying.

What are the LUMIX G85's weaknesses?

Two things come up consistently: the Micro Four Thirds sensor limits high-ISO performance compared to larger formats, and the autofocus is not the fastest for fast action or reliable subject tracking. It is a 16-megapixel camera, so it is not a resolution leader either. If you shoot mostly in good light and at a considered pace, none of this gets in the way.

How good is the LUMIX G85 image stabilization?

Very good, and it is the main reason the camera still gets recommended. The G85 uses a 5-axis in-body system (Dual I.S. 2.0 with compatible lenses) that makes handheld video and slow-shutter stills genuinely practical without a tripod or gimbal. For run-and-gun travel and everyday content work it speeds up the whole workflow.

Good Choice

I'm absolutely loving this camera! As a total beginner, it's been incredibly easy to pick up, and the photo/video quality is just stunning. I considered a Canon as a budget-friendly alternative, but I'm so glad I chose this instead—you really can't go wrong. My only complaint was the shipping speed; it took quite a while to arrive, even though the extra lenses and gear I ordered later showed up first.
