How much does a Sony a7R V cost?

Shopfox listings currently span $2,280 to $3,719 for the a7R V against a $3,898 launch — used body-only units near the bottom, kits above. Sony flagship bodies hold value well, so current pricing is steady value rather than steep depreciation. Compare a7R V offers and check price history on Shopfox before buying.

Sony a7R V vs Nikon Z7 II — which should you buy?

The a7R V counters with 61MP versus 45.7, stronger AI autofocus, 8K video, and a more versatile multi-angle screen; the Z7 II counters with native Nikon color, dual slots including cheap SD, and noticeably lower used pricing. Both produce gorgeous files. Choose the Sony a7R V for resolution ceiling and AF tech; the Z7 II for value and ergonomics.

What can the a7R V's AI autofocus recognize?

People (with precise eye and pose estimation), animals, birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes — the a7R V's dedicated AI chip classifies subjects and tracks them tenaciously. Real-world reports make it one of the most reliable focus systems for wildlife with long lenses. On the Sony a7R V, lost-focus excuses mostly disappear.
