Should I buy a refurbished PS5 Slim?

A refurbished PS5 Slim can save money, especially Sony-certified units or reputable seller refurbs with a warranty. Since it's a newer console, refurbs are usually in great shape. Compare New vs Refurbished PS5 Slim offers on Shopfox to weigh the discount against warranty length before deciding whether refurbished is right for you.

Can you add a disc drive to the PS5 Slim Digital?

Yes, Sony designed the PlayStation 5 Slim so the disc drive is detachable and can be attached to a Digital Edition later. If you buy the Digital model and change your mind, you can add the official drive rather than replacing the console. That said, buying the PS5 Slim Disc edition upfront is often simpler and cheaper.

Is the PS5 Slim Disc version still hard to find?

No, the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc edition is now widely available after the early shortage years. That means you should never overpay to a scalper. Compare prices across sellers on Shopfox and watch for bundle deals with extra controllers or games, and check the price history to catch a genuine PS5 Slim sale.
