Compare prices for Sony Sony WF-1000XM5 Headphones & Earbuds

I've been using Bose noise-cancelling headphones on planes for years—they work great for blocking out engine noise, but they're impossible to sleep in, especially on a business class flatbed. So I picked up these Sony ones hoping they'd be different. Total letdown. They were completely useless. Luckily, I had my Bose pair with me. If you're planning to use these on a flight, save your money and skip this model.

I've been using budget earphones for years and always saw these in reviews. Finally got them on sale, and as soon as I put them in, I felt zero difference from my old pair that cost a third of the price. What a letdown. The foam ear tips are a joke—they claim you can't really clean them without damaging the material, which just traps bacteria. No replacement tips either, so Sony basically wants you to buy a whole new pair. Tried the silicone tips via a hidden app button, but they don't have protective nets, so earwax and dust get in freely. Worst part: every step makes them rattle and jolt my eardrums—I can't even walk on concrete, let alone run. Touching them feels like a punch to the ear. Also, the case lacks a tactile indicator for front/back, so I have to look away from the road to check. Definitely not worth the regular price—overhyped and overpriced.
