BlackBerry Priv or KEY2 - which should you buy?

The KEY2 (2018) is the practical collector pick — newer Android, better keyboard, faster chip; the Priv counters with the sliding form factor and curved screen no other phone has. Keyboard-first users take KEY2; design collectors take the Priv. Compare both on Shopfox with price history.

What should you check when buying a used Priv?

Work the slider mechanism repeatedly — it must lock firmly open and closed; check the physical keyboard's every key, the curved AMOLED for burn-in, battery swelling, and that the Android device is activation-ready. Ten-year-old sliders deserve returns policies. Compare Priv disclosures on Shopfox.

Why do collectors want the BlackBerry Priv?

It is the hinge — literally — where BlackBerry's hardware legend met Android, with that satisfying slide-and-type keyboard no modern phone offers. Late-Android BlackBerrys form a complete niche collection. Complete boxes with accessories carry premiums. Compare Priv bundles on Shopfox with price history.
